Jumble....

I suck at taking criticism. I think that I am so hard on myself about alot of things that it is just to much when somebody else chimes in on the situation. End of story.



It is once again that time every few months when I feel like my hair has just GOT to change... I want it back short like the picture above. I'm just not sure I'm ready to give up my dollar a day yet though. Hum?



This is one of the piles of EMPTY Reeses pieces that our mouse is leaving us. Still no catch. One of the traps has bunches of fur, but not mouse. It escaped...

House Mouse! EEKKK!

So we got home from work the other day and as usual continued our healthy eating habits of working on the house and feasting on whatever is or isn't there for dinner. Well, at the time there was a box of Cheese Nips and a bag of Reeses Pieces. We had been eating handfulls of Reeses Pieces in passing all evening. I was getting exceptionaly hungry though and decided it was time to move onto the Cheese Nips ( they are a little more filling). So I went to grab some and realized there was a hole right in the top of the box! Not in the side or front, but in the TOP! I looked over at Aaron who was about to eat some Reeses Pieces and said, "Uhhh, I think our friend is back." He (being the smart one) said, " Uh Oh, I bet it was in the Reeses Pieces too! " Needless to say we had been eating out of a bag of hallowed out candy! The mouse ate the peanut butter and left us the shells!

We have a house mouse! I hate mice! I am pretty sure this one was built into the house actually because he has been there ever since we started building. It disapears for about a month at a time, as far as i am concerned anyways, I think aaron sees it more often then that... But it always comes back! Needless to say hopefully there is a mouse on the trap that is set up in the house because I don't like him in my house!

As far as the rest of the house goes... our bathroom is finished! 100% done! Except for the shelves but those dont' really count... The washroom just needs a washer, dryer and shelves installed! Both bedrooms just need floors!

Aaron is at the house waiting on me. I think he has carpet samples for our house!!!!! (and hopefully a dead mouse!)

Saturday our big project was the cabinets!
As you can tell we have had success so far.

So Close...

Our house actually looks like a house now! Aaron put the ceiling fans up in the living room tonight but I am sick so no pictures of that. Last night we put the floor in the bathroom!

Turns out there is a problem with where the water comes out of the wall for the toilet but hopefully Aaron can fix that without having to cut into our beautiful ( and finished ) walls. I really really like the bathroom. The walls look a lot lighter in these pictures then they really are. My dad also got the doors made for the attics and they look really good even though they aren't up yet!

Tomorrow we are going to carve pumpkins!
Friday Aaron has to be at the Chamber's House and French museum all day and evening because they are doing haunted tours while I get to attend the ward "Fall Festival," and hopefully ditch out earlier to spend some time with Aaron. Saturday we are going to be back working on the house again and then cozy up and watch the Nightmare Before Christmas!

O-ya... I named the cat BOO! Kinda like boo for halloween and kinda like Boo off of Monsters Inc. either way I think it is super cute and I am so glad she is still around and expecting food!

A new pet and more work on the house!

We worked on the house all day today! My parents came out and my grandma was even there for a while. Here are some pictures with the progress we made. It is actually starting to look like a house!

At the end of the day, after my parents left, we built a fire and sat outside in the cool weather to enjoy it!

This is the bathroom of course. The sink and toilet are just sitting there because they wont actually be put in until after the floor but they are ready atleast and it was fun to look at! The trim around the top of the white still needs to be painted and the little window needs to be trimmed but it is looking like a bathroom here!

So I don't actually get to have a lot of decorations in my construction zone but I did buy some window sticky things to give the house a little holiday spirit!

If you look close there is a dead dragonfly stuck to the "N." I thought about taking it and then decided that another one would probably just end up there and it kinda added to it.

Aaron and my mom stained and varnished lots of boards for the ceiling and window trim and such!

This might not look like much but actually it is my pantry and it has a light (thanks to bro.wagley) and is all the way painted (thanks to my grandma) so all it needs are lots of shelfs to store food on!

This is the newest addition to the family until it runs away or gets killed atleast. We are hoping that it will help with the snake problem a little. She still doesn't have a name, but I like her!

House, House, House

So here is a quick update for those wondering about the house....

The bathroom is moving along. Aaron got the shower all the way in and is putting the walls up around it in this picture!

This is our bedroom is the process of being painted. the trim still needs to be painted but you can kinda get the idea. The green looks different too... I like how the colors look though! & thats what matters!

This is the living room from the hallway. The ceiling is painted and ready to put the strips that are missing up there. The strips are even ready, it is just waiting on my dad to come out and help get them up there!

This is the little bedroom except the window is trimmed out now. I think you can all get the point that it is painted and has the fan and outlet coverings and stuff though!

These are the paint colors at lowes one night! The orange is the color in the little bedroom, the green & black are in our room, and the blue and beige are in the bathroom!

The plumbing is almost finished. The closet has walls as does the utility room. There is finally an end in sight just really really far away still I think!

So close yet so far...

I am such a slaker updating now that I work from 9-6 then work on the house this evening! This picture is of Aaron staining the front of the house. The inside is almost all Kilzed. The little bedroom is finished and our bedroom is close to being done. Basically we are making some real progress but there is still a long way to go!
